Memo to the President: A Conversation with Jensen Huang
Tune in to the latest episode of Memos to the President!
I’m Ylli Bajraktari, CEO of the Special Competitive Studies Project, back with another edition of Memos to the President. In today's episode of Memos to the President, I had the honor to speak with Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA.
I first met Jensen Huang a couple of years ago. I was on a call with his team, and to my surprise, he dialed in himself. It quickly became clear why he is a leading figure in today’s tech landscape—engaged, forward-looking, and deeply attuned to the implications of AI at scale. NVIDIA’s role in building the computing infrastructure behind artificial intelligence has positioned it at the center of this technological shift. For SCSP, understanding how leaders like Jensen are thinking about the future is essential to our work on U.S. competitiveness and strategic advantage.
We are living through a new industrial revolution—one defined not by steam or steel, but by the production of intelligence itself. At the heart of this revolution are what Jensen calls "AI Factories," vast data centers that are becoming the most critical infrastructure for national power and economic prosperity. Understanding this transformation is central to the mission of the Special Competitive Studies Project and is a critical memo for any president.
That's why I was so pleased to sit down with him for this special episode of Memos to the President. Our conversation goes to the heart of the strategic challenges and opportunities facing the United States. We discuss the coming waves of AI, from generative to physical and agentic AI; the immense energy required to power this new age; the future of work in a world augmented by AI; and the defining geopolitical issue of our time: the U.S.-China technology competition.
This is more than a conversation about technology; it's a look into the future of national power, economic strategy, and the world our children will inherit. I invite you to listen to my discussion with the architect of our AI-powered world, Jensen Huang.
